About us

A club built by its community

For more than a century and a half, cricket in Yackandandah has been played by neighbours, taught by parents, and watched from the same hill each summer.

Our story

From a paddock to a legacy

The club was established in 1859 on ground cleared by hand, and has fielded a side almost every season since — through droughts, war years and generations of the same families. Today Yackandandah is affiliated with Cricket Albury Wodonga and runs senior, junior and entry-level cricket side by side.

1859

First match

Cricket is played on ground cleared by hand at the edge of town, and the club takes its name from it.

1912

The pavilion

Locals fund and build the timber pavilion that still overlooks the ground today.

1974

Junior program

Formal junior teams begin, opening the club to a new generation of players.

2025

The latest flag in a long run of senior and junior success in Cricket Albury Wodonga.

What we stand for

The way we play

Community first

The club exists for the town. Every season is run by members who give their time freely.

Sportsmanship

We play hard and fair, and we expect the same standard from seniors and juniors alike.

All abilities

From Milo In2Cricket to A Grade turf, there is a place here whatever your level.

Play, coach or volunteer with us
