Yackandandah Cricket Club is the town’s cricket club: senior turf and hard-wicket sides, three junior teams, and the entry programs that put a bat in a child’s hands for the first time. Everything runs from our ground on Wellsford Street.
Two turf sides and one hard-wicket side compete in Cricket Albury Wodonga grades through the summer season.
Three graded junior teams for boys and girls, coached by club volunteers and parents.
T20 Blast and Milo In2Cricket introduce the game with short formats, skills and plenty of hitting.
The hard-wicket side is where returning players and first-timers find a game without a full season commitment.
Home matches are played at the Yackandandah ground, in the valley on the edge of town. The pavilion is the club’s meeting place on match days — and on most Saturday evenings after stumps.
Visitors and supporters are welcome at every home game. There is no admission charge.
Every team, canteen shift and working bee is covered by members giving their time. New helpers are always welcome, no cricket experience required.
We hold a safeguarding policy, a code of behaviour and a member protection declaration, and we expect every coach, player and parent to follow them.
Local businesses and families keep the club on the field each season. Sponsorship packages are arranged through the committee.
Registrations open each September. The quickest way to reach the committee is our Facebook group, where 650+ members follow the club through the season.
